A once successful P.R. Specialist deals with the trials and tribulations of managing a local grocery store known as “The Yellow Bird” while struggling with his loveless marriage, an unhappy stepdaughter and his own sobriety.

Two young soldiers, Bartle and Murph, navigate the terrors of the Iraq war under the command of the older, troubled Sergeant Sterling. All the while, Bartle is tortured by a promise he made to Murph’s mother before their deployment.

Jack is just an ordinary sparrow who wishes he could be more exotic and vibrant like so many of his friends. So when a coincidental accident involving colorful paint changes the way he looks, Jack is thrilled about his new appearance. But little does he know that his new look will soon lead him down a path of mistaken identity, adventure and danger. Aurora is a beautiful yellow canary that has been locked up her whole life. When she manages to escape from the mean network tycoon that has kept her caged up, she has trouble adjusting to this life of newfound freedom. When Jack and Aurora fortuitously meet, they will need to rely on each other, as well as their wacky friends (Larry the pigeon, Pete, the hummingbird and Claire, the bat) as their case of mistaken identity leads them on a thrilling adventure. And along the way, Aurora and Jack will learn that it’s not who you are on the outside, but who you are on the inside that matters.

Yellowbird lives in the ruins of an old house. He lacks the confidence to leave his home, no matter how much Bug, his labybird friend, tries to convince him to go out into the world. Attempts to toughen him up have had little success, so Bug seizes an opportunity that leaves Yellowbird unexpectedly finding himself the new leader of the flock that is migrating to Africa. Still, lacking faith in his own abilities and with danger and imminent failure lurking around every corner, our feathered hero is forced to either find the strength required to work with the team or bow out and stay hidden away forever.
